Halimede runs two forms on this website: a mailing-list signup and a contact form. This page explains exactly what each one collects, where it goes, how long it stays, and how to get it removed. We have deliberately built the site to collect as little as possible — there are no cookies, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.

What we collect
If you join the mailing list
We store your email address, a subscription status, and the date you subscribed. That is the entire record — we do not ask for or store your name, company, or any other detail.
To stop the form being abused, we also count recent submissions against your IP address and email address. These counters are stored separately, are never linked to your subscription record, and delete themselves automatically one hour after they are written.
If you use the contact form
We receive the name, email address, and message you type. This is emailed straight to our inbox and is not added to the mailing list or stored in our subscriber database. Replying to you is the only thing we use it for.
If we send you an email
When we send a mailing-list email, we record that it was sent to you, the delivery status, and the time. If your provider reports the message as bounced, or you mark it as spam, we record that too — and stop emailing you.
What we don't collect
Stated explicitly, because it is unusual enough to be worth saying:
- No cookies. This site sets none at all.
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, no page-view tracking, no session recording, no heatmaps.
- No advertising or social trackers. No pixels, no remarketing tags.
- No third-party requests at all. Everything the page loads, including the font, comes from our own domain. Visiting this site tells no other company that you were here.
- No email open or click tracking. Our email system is configured to report only bounces and complaints. We cannot tell whether you opened an email or clicked a link in it.
- No selling or renting of data, to anyone, ever.
Why we're allowed to hold it
You gave us your email address by typing it into a form and submitting it. That is the only basis on which we hold it, and you can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send you.
Who else can see it
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They process data on our instructions and do not use it for their own purposes.

That is the complete list. This site loads no third-party fonts, scripts, or embeds of any kind — the typeface is served from our own domain, so no other company sees your IP address when you visit. Beyond the providers above, we disclose personal information only if legally compelled to.
How long we keep it
- Mailing-list records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Unsubscribing marks the record as opted out and keeps the address on file, so that a later signup by someone else cannot re-subscribe you against your wishes. Ask us to delete it and it goes entirely.
- Abuse-prevention counters delete themselves one hour after they are written.
- Contact form messages stay in our email inbox as part of the conversation.
Your choices
Unsubscribe. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link in the footer, and supports your mail client's own one-click unsubscribe button. Both work immediately and the links do not expire.
Deletion or a copy of your data. Email info@halimede.one and we will delete your record, or send you everything we hold, within 30 days. We do not require you to create an account or verify your identity beyond replying from the address in question.
If you're outside the United States
We operate from the United States, so any data you send us is processed there. We are not established in the UK or EU, but if you are a resident of either and would like your data accessed, corrected, or erased, email us and we will honor the request on the same terms as everyone else.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us their email address, email us and we will remove it.
Security
Data is held on managed infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Access to the mailing-list admin panel requires a password plus a second factor. No system is perfect, but we hold very little: for the mailing list, an email address is the whole record.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle data you have already given us, we will email subscribers to say so rather than change it quietly.
